They are looking for a business data analyst skilled in SAS and SQL with experience in reporting analysis for telecoms, the banking sector or FMCG. For a mid to senior level it is essential to have experience in segmentation, modelling and profiling. This experience is not required for a junior level.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities in this role are as follows:
SAS/SQL analysis and reporting.
Building segmentation and cluster models.
Profiling & propensity modelling.
Exploratory analysis of data.
Campaign building and optimization.
Presenting to clients analysis and provide recommendations.
You will be attending client meetings.
Building business models.
You will take part in internal projects related to data.
Report specifications.
In this role you will gain the opportunity to travel globally occasionally at short notice.
Skills and qualifications required
Candidates need previous experience using SAS in the marketing sector.
A through understanding of SAS is essential, for example,
Getting data in and out of SAS
Manipulation of SAS data (including Proc SQL)
Detailed understanding of SAS procedures
Be able to code macro procedures and use macro variables
ODS
Running SAS in a production environment
Concept of automating code
Formats (including user-defined)
You must be skilled in SQL programming.
An ideal candidate will be a logical thinker and have an aptitude for problem solving.
Candidates should be technologically literate.
A deep level of database knowledge is essential as well as adept PC skills, for example, programming Excel and VBA preferred.
You will need skills in team based working to solve business problems and experience in marketing analytics.
Candidates should have an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of different marketing positions.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and deliver set goals.
