Job: Technical Consultant – Mobile Platform Solutions, EMEA

The role

Our client is looking for an ambitious individual with an understanding of mobile products to join their team as a Sales Engineer.  If you have a get up and go attitude and are able to ‘think outside the box’ then this may be the position for you.

This position requires an individual with technical knowledge but who is not a software developer.

Responsibilities

• You will be the companies support for EMEA.
• You will be offering technical support on tracking and reporting on a face to face basis.
• The position requires candidates to conduct set-up and end-to-end testing of the company’s campaigns.
• Take initiative and troubleshoot any arising issues in the system or campaign.
• Nurture relationships with key technical contacts.
• Candidates will manage the integration process of media suppliers via API or server integration into our Client’s advertiser and publisher management platform.
• Must be able to manage the creation of commissioned technical projects.
• Work closely with and act as EMEA liaison for our Client’s technical support team, which is based inIsrael.
• Must play a contributory part in the creation of a products roadmap for advertisers and publishers.

Skills and qualifications required

• A clear communication style is essential in this position as you will be conversing with all levels within the organisation and with clients.
• An ideal candidate will have experience in the mobile advertising industry, although not essential.
• Development experience in Java and J2EE.
• Experience (3+ years) with command-line Linus/UNIX systems.
• Experience (3+ years) with such data exchange technologies and formats as RESTful API’s, XML, JSON etc.
• Experience (5+ years) with such standard web technologies as HTTP(S), (X)HTML and TCP/IP.
• Must have functional experience with such scripting technologies as JavaScript, PHP, C Shell and/or PERL.
• A basic level of experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as, SQL and flat file DB’s.
• Experience (3+ years) with mobile content delivery and smartphone –specific delivery issues.
• An ideal candidate will have experience in developing iOS and Android applications.
• Must have excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
